Hours of Operation
The [AB] Designs Ltd customer service team is available during the following hours via phone, chat or email:

We are closed for the ALL Holidays.
[AB] Designs Ltd accepts Visa and Mastercard. We also accept PayPal.
At [AB] Designs Ltd, we work hard to make sure you are 100% satisfied with your projects. Your happiness is our number one priority.
Before a project goes to print, our processing team reviews all files to make sure they are correct. Projects move forward only if everything looks good. Please note we don’t question design, we only view files to make sure everything is technically correct.
If there are issues with the files, we do our best to correct them on our own and send a proof for approval. If for some reason we can’t fix the files, we’ll email an outline of the issues. If you’re not sure how to proceed, contact us, and we’ll help you fix the problem.
Once you receive your order be sure to inspect the product to ensure that it was not damaged during shipping and that we have met your expectations. If you have any concerns about the quality of your order, simply contact us or create a satisfaction guaranteed case so that we can resolve the issue to your satisfaction.
Production times vary depending on the product, stock, and finish. Each product will display all available turnaround times after you have selected your product and options. We are unable to offer rush production on all products. If a rush turnaround is not displayed as an option, it is not available.
Production days are Monday - Friday only with exceptions for stated holidays.
When determining turnaround times, orders placed before Noon with approved, print-ready files will count the order day as the first business day of the production turn cycle. Orders placed after noon will be counted towards the next business day. Requesting proofs may delay the turnaround time as we will not put the order into production until the proofs are approved.
Please note: Turnaround starts from the time we have inspected the files and approved them for print. If [AB] Designs Ltd does not deem the files production ready (e.g., those with problems or that require a proof), a job has revised files, is placed on hold, or is awaiting proof approval the turnaround starts from the time the approval is given.
Our turnaround times refer solely to production. It is our goal to release all jobs as soon as completion of production allows. The last day of your turn-around time is not a guaranteed "in hands" date.
While we make every attempt to meet or exceed the stated turnaround times, turn times are not guaranteed. A variety of issues including but not limited to equipment failure, weather conditions, production errors, etc. may create unplanned delays. If your order is time sensitive, we recommend contacting us before placing your order.
Artwork & Files
To ensure the best possible results, we suggest that you familiarize yourself with our print specifications and guidelines. We do our best to provide you with detailed information while trying to avoid fancy print jargon. We understand that some of these specifications can be difficult to understand from time to time so, if you ever have a question, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Single-page PDFs are best for each file (front, back, spot UV mask files, etc.).
In addition to PDF files, we also accept JPEG & TIFF files.
Other accepted file types are AI, EPS and PSD files. Using these file types may delay the preview and proofs as they will need to be reviewed manually.
All files should be created and saved as CMYK. We can convert RGB files for you, but please be aware the colours will not print the same as what you see on your screen. We do not print Pantone PMS Spot Colours.
Bleed and Crop Marks
Most products require a bleed of 0.0625" on all sides. A larger bleed area is fine, even though a warning will appear when you upload. Check the preview carefully to make sure everything is in the right place.
Crop marks are not needed, but you may include them if you prefer. Including crop marks may display a warning about your file dimensions.
For projects created in programs like Photoshop or as a JPG or TIF file (raster images), [AB] Designs Ltd recommends a resolution of 300DPI.
Though vector (Illustrator, Corel Draw) and PDF files do not have a resolution, images or photos placed into your vector graphic or PDF should be 300DPI and converted to CMYK before inserting into your design. Adding images to a vector graphic do not change their format.
For best results, convert all fonts to outlines or embed the fonts in the PDF when saving or exporting.
[AB] Designs Ltd does accept borders on jobs. However, we do not recommend them on smaller pieces like business cards and hang tags.
Having border can make even the slightest shift more noticeable to the eye. While we can not avoid this possible shift, removing the borders helps to minimize the appearance of the 0.0625” shift.
[AB] Designs Ltd offers both 1/4’’ (0.25’’) and 1/8’’ (0.125) round radius on some standard size business cards and postcards. You have the option to select to have all four corners rounded or two opposite corners rounded.
Before getting started with your project, our Processing Team inspects each file to make sure they are print ready. If they have any concerns, they will place your order on hold and contact you.
